Data protection / Cookies
This website is operated by the Austria Legal Network – Association for Mutual Support of Lawyers. The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions. In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.
Contact us
If you contact us by email, the personal data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions, unless a statutory retention period requires longer storage (this will be checked by us in each individual case based on the required purpose of storage). We will not pass on this data without your consent.
(Personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is, according to Art. 4(1) GDPR, any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A natural person is considered identifiable if they can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by association with an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more special characteristics that express the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Data processing and storage
We would like to point out that for the purpose of association administration and subsequent contract processing, the website operator stores the IP data of the connection owner in cookies, as well as the name, address and email address of the person concerned. The data you provide is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you.
No data is transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of payment data to the processing banks/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the membership fee, as well as to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.
After expiry of the respective statutory retention period, the data stored by us will be deleted. In the event of a contract being concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years).
In addition, processing is carried out on the basis of the following legal grounds:
• On the basis of a contract to which you are a party or in the course of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – where necessary – to the use of cookies, to the electronic sending of information and invitations, and when you contact us (by email or post) to process and respond to your enquiry.
• Based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the website, preventing fraud, asserting, exercising and defending legal claims, and responding to your enquiries.
• Furthermore, data is processed to fulfil legal obligations or official orders to which we are subject as the responsible party (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
